Digital & Traditional
Art Gallery
Drawing, painting, or sketching is something I have enjoyed since I could pick up a pencil. It is my way of recording and comprehending ideas that affect my life. As a result, I have something to say visually in almost every work I’ve created.
I focus on different styles, mediums, and an endless amount of conceptual thought to calm my mind. The main focus is an idea that utilizes visual icons for emphasis. The point of reference for those iconic symbols usually originates from the twentieth century in order to understand this new cycle of the twenty-first century. If one needs to place a label on what I do, a contemporary social realist is the closest thing I can muster. See some of my influences here.
As I attempt to visualize my world with silent, hidden visual meanings within the work, I find myself digging up some of the traditional art created in the past and creating a new digital remastering of my original paintings or serigraphs.
