The 22nd Inning! Sheet size is 11 x 17 inches, Image size is 9 x 12.34 inches. This print is produced on 100% cotton rag archival art papers. It is printed using a 10-color pigment ink printer that is of fine art quality or giclee standard. If handled properly, this combination of ink and paper will last dozens of years with minimal color degradation. I ship my prints in plastic envelopes or PVC sleeves and then inserted them in either a rolled tube or rigid flat envelope depending on the size. Only a limited edition of 100 signed prints will be produced of this work.

The 22nd inning! S. Christopher James ©June 2022. Before professional baseball was integrated with the signing of Jackie Robinson, black baseball athletes played in what was called the Negro Leagues. Baseball for African Americans began soon after the civil war and enjoyed popularity among various ethnic groups. This depicts an outfielder at night before the addition of nighttime lighting, which started in the Negro Leagues. Since I intended to experiment with chiaroscuro effects, I imagined playing by the lights of automobiles.
